The common heating methods of Double Deck Outdoor Pizza Oven are mainly as follows:
1. Gas heating
Gas heating is one of the common methods of outdoor pizza ovens. This oven is usually equipped with a gas burner, generally using propane or natural gas as fuel. When the gas valve is opened, the gas enters the burner through the pipeline and is ignited by the ignition device. The flame generated by the combustion directly acts on the inside of the oven, and the heat is transferred to the pizza by thermal radiation.
The advantages of this heating method are obvious. First, the heating speed is relatively fast, and the oven can reach a higher temperature in a short time. Generally, it can reach the high temperature required for making pizza (about 400-500 degrees Celsius) within 10-15 minutes. Secondly, the flame generated by gas combustion can provide a more uniform heat distribution, especially in a double-layer oven. Through reasonable flame distribution design and reflective plates inside the oven, both the upper and lower layers can receive enough heat. Moreover, the fire power of the gas can be easily adjusted. The user can adjust the flame size according to the requirements of pizza making (such as the thickness of the dough, the amount of ingredients, etc.), so as to accurately control the oven temperature.
2. Charcoal heating
Charcoal heating is more traditional. There is a charcoal placement area at the bottom of the oven. After the charcoal is ignited, the heat released by the burning charcoal heats up the inside of the oven. The heat generated by the burning charcoal is also mainly transferred to the pizza through thermal radiation.
Using charcoal heating can bring a unique smoky flavor to the pizza and increase the flavor level of the pizza. However, the temperature control of this heating method is relatively difficult and requires a certain amount of experience. In a double-layer oven, in order to ensure that both the upper and lower layers are heated evenly, it may be necessary to adjust the distribution of charcoal appropriately during the heating process. Moreover, the speed of charcoal heating is slightly slower than that of gas heating, and it usually takes about 15-20 minutes to reach the appropriate pizza making temperature.
3. Electric heating
Some Double Deck Outdoor Pizza Ovens use electric heating. This oven has a heating element installed inside, usually an electric heating wire. When the power is turned on, the current passes through the electric heating wire, the electric heating wire heats up, converts electrical energy into thermal energy, and then heats up the temperature inside the oven through heat conduction and heat radiation.
The temperature control of the electric heating method is relatively accurate, and different temperature values can be set by adjusting the temperature knob. However, it requires an electrical source, and may need to be connected to a generator or near an electrical outlet when used outdoors. Also, the heating speed of electric heating is generally between that of gas heating and charcoal heating.
